Child’s Rights are Learned, Understood and Lived in Cwmaber Junior School

Having achieved the Bronze award in 2018, on Tuesday 13th July 2021, Cwmaber Junior School was assessed for the Silver Rights Respecting Schools Award. We are delighted to announce that we passed with flying colours and are now ‘Rights Aware’.

We submitted evidence to an Assessor who then interviewed staff, Governors, parents and our wonderful Steering Group of learners. It was wonderful to know that even via a Teams call, the assessor was able to get a feel for our school and was impressed with what he heard and saw. This was a fantastic team effort, and we are very proud of this achievement. So ….. it’s onwards and upwards to the Gold Award!!
