Your child will be read with in class a minimum of twice a week.

Throughout that time, they will read their ORT reading book, be required to spell or read their Word Boxes, Tricky Words, Family Sounds and ORT Stage Words.

Please practise these at home when you can and we will tick off their a4 sheet of paper when they can do these in class.

We ask the children to read their reading books, however we also ask a series of questions such as 'can you tell me what happens in this story', play games such as iSpy 'can you point to the word 'the'' and other challenges to see how they have understood the story.
