Your child will be heard reading in class at least twice a week.

During these sessions, they will read their ORT book and practise reading or spelling their Word Boxes, Tricky Words, Family Sounds, and ORT Stage Words.

Please support this learning at home when possible. We will tick off their A4 progress sheet once they can confidently do these in class.

In addition to reading the book, we ask questions like “Can you tell me what happened in the story?” and play games such as 'I Spy' “Can you find the word ‘the’?” to check their understanding in fun and engaging ways.
