We are the Year One Class at Cwmaber Infants and your teacher is Miss Brace and HLTA Mrs Davies

Our themes are:

PE Day
PE will take place every Wednesday. Please ensure your child comes to school wearing their PE kit and suitable footwear on this day.

Snacks and Drinks
We are a Healthy School, so please ensure your child brings a portion of fruit or vegetables for snack time, which is free-flowing throughout the day in the classroom. We also encourage children to stay hydrated by bringing in a sensibly sized water bottle, which can be refilled at our water dispenser.

Reading Books and Diaries
We kindly ask that reading books and yellow reading diaries are brought into school every day. We will make every effort to read with the children daily and work through Wordboxes, Tricky Words, and ORT Stage Words with them.

Learning Logs
Learning Log tasks will be set on Fridays, either in the Learning Log book or online through Purple Mash, Doodle Learning, or Reading Eggs. If your child is absent or misplaces their slip, task details will also be available on SeeSaw.

Handwriting Books

Handwriting Books will be set on Fridays. Please ensure you follow our handwriting letter formation sheet to help your child form letters correctly.

SeeSaw Updates
SeeSaw will be regularly updated with a variety of activities your child has completed in school. We encourage you to take a look at your child’s learning journey and leave a comment—children love seeing feedback from home!
