Creation Station

Creation Station

Within the Creation Station, we encourage the children to explore, experiment, and express themselves freely through a rich array of open-ended materials

to create whatever their imagination desires.

This areas also allows children to develop key skills such as fine motor skills, problem solving skills, team work, turn taking, independence and curiosity.

This area is almost fully self managed as children sort the colours and equipment so they are organised, as well as sharpening pencils, testing felt tip pens when needed and more.

Our Creation Station embodies the Froebelian principles of "learning by doing" and the importance of self-activity with the nature of being open ended.

Occasionally, a Branching Out Challenge is set out for the children, a WAGOLL (What a Good One Looks Like) is provided alongside the appropriate materials. The completed challenges ae then uploaded to SeeSaw, which can then be viewed by linked accounts at home.
