Welcome to Class Two!

We are the Year Two Class at Cwmaber Infants and your teacher is Mrs Cribb with Mrs Hughes and Miss Parker. 

Our topic this term is 'Remember, Remember - Toys'. We will be focusing on toys, now and in the past, whilst comparing them to find the similarities and differences. We will be looking at the materials used to make toys and hope to take part in a toy making workshop. Our text will be "Clown" by Quentin Blake- we will retell and adapt the story to make our own version. Our non fiction focus will be recount writing so we will recount different events like trips, visitors, celebrations, etc.

PE will be on a Wednesday so please could the children wear/bring suitable footwear on these days. 

We ask that reading books and yellow reading diaries are returned to school every day, and we will make it our best effort to read and complete word box spellings with the children daily. 

Learning Logs are given out on a Friday in preparation for the following Friday. We appreciate your support with reading, spellings and learning logs- Please make comments wherever possible. 

Our online programs are currently  Doodle Maths, Reading Eggs and Purple Mash so please use these to support your child's learning at home. They are free to practise as much as possible outside school, in order to reinforce number, literacy and digital skills.

Pupils are encouraged to bring in a piece of fruit and a water bottle every day, in a labelled container. 

Please clearly label all cardigans and jumpers.
