Block Play
Block Play
Each week, children are offered a mix of open-ended activities and specific challenges, depending on the focus for that period.
When a Branching Out Challenge is set, a WAGOLL (What A Good One Looks Like) is provided. This example serves as inspiration, which children can choose to copy, adapt, or completely redesign—encouraging them to set their own level of challenge.
Pupils are encouraged to collaborate during these challenges, helping them develop vital social skills such as turn-taking, sharing opinions, and being open to the ideas of others.
Completed work is uploaded to Seesaw, where it can be viewed by linked home accounts—allowing families to see and celebrate their child’s progress, especially in writing.
