In Year 1, children truly seize the season every day—whether they’re sharing stories and ideas in the log circle within our Forest School area, investigating seasonal changes and wildlife in the Explorer Garden, or fully immersing themselves in nature during our dedicated Forest School Fridays. These regular outdoor experiences are more than just enjoyable; they are a carefully planned part of our curriculum, inspired by the Froebelian approach to education.

Froebel believed that young children learn best through hands-on experiences, play, and a close connection with nature. At our school, we embed these principles by encouraging children to explore, create, question, and collaborate in natural environments.
